Photographed and directed by Juno Calypso, the campaign explores the dance between the reality and fantasy of a very British Christmas; from the unpredictable British weather to family togetherness, delayed trains to festive feasts.

Juno’s new solo show ‘What to Do With a Million Years’ is now showing at TJ Boulting, London until 23rd June.
For this new body of work, Juno discovered a peculiar location in Nevada, USA: the luxury Cold War bunker of Avon cosmetics founder Gerry Anderson built 26 feet underground in the 1960s.

Juno’s new immersive art installation ‘The Salon’ will be on display at the Galeria Melissa in Covent Garden until 15th April.

New work from Juno for Topic, A Girl’s Guide to Egg Freezing.

Juno’s taking part in the next Good Morning Sunshine discussion on November 10th at Soho House.
She’ll be on the panel discussing whether it’s achievable to uncover an authentic version of yourself.

About the Artist

Born in London. Juno studied photography at the London College of Communication and began a series of self-portraits as her fictional character “Joyce”. After graduating she was commissioned to expand on this project with a new body of work for the 2013 Catlin Art Prize. Juno continues to use this alter ego throughout much of her work. In an ongoing and evolving series of meticulously crafted self-portraits she explores and examines female self-perception, identity and sexuality. Juno creates work that is strange, haunting and sometimes, an hilarious critique of femininity. In 2015 she won the British Journal of Photography International prize followed by the FOAM Museum Talent Award in 2016. She lives in London.
