Zander Galerie is delighted to show the first solo exhibition with works by Italian photographer Massimo Vitali. Running from May 17 to August 22, the show offers a compelling display of Vitali’s work spanning nearly three decades.
Known for his large-scale colour photos of Italian beach life, Vitali’s images go beyond the idyllic to subtly examine the social constructs of leisure, consumerism, and conformity. Born in Como, Italy in 1944, he began his journey in photography as a teenager, eventually developing his signature style with the launch of his Beach Series in 1994.
The exhibition runs from May 17 to August 22 at Zander Galerie in Cologne, with an opening event this Saturday from 3 to 6pm.
